6 min read

Healthier living often requires guidance, especially when faced with nutrition-related health diagnoses. In a world inundated with diverse nutritional information, our registered dietitian is your trusted partner, helping you navigate through the noise and working towards better health through medical nutrition therapy (MNT).

Nutritional medicine at Hoskinson Health and Wellness Clinic transcends traditional approaches, embracing a comprehensive and personalized strategy to enhance your overall well-being. Rooted in the belief that food is a powerful catalyst for healing and sustaining health, our approach to nutritional medicine is guided by the principles of evidence-based nutrition and the expertise of our dedicated healthcare team.

What is nutritional medicine?

Nutritional medicine goes beyond dietary choices, considering the individual's unique biochemical makeup, lifestyle, and specific health needs.

What is medical nutrition therapy (MNT)?

Medical nutrition therapy (MNT) is a specialized nutrition-based treatment provided by a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN). As a focus of our holistic services, MNT aims to help individuals, particularly those dealing with obesity, diabetes, lipid disorders, and various chronic conditions, to enhance their health through strategic dietary changes.

What is a registered dietician?

A registered dietitian (RD), also known as a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN), is a certified food and nutrition expert, with a minimum of a bachelor's degree and extensive coursework through an Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) program. They have passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
